Privacy Policy

Effective October 28, 2026

ErDock is a Mac app that shows widgets in a second Dock. It is built to keep your information on your Mac. ErDock has no user accounts, no advertising, no analytics and no crash reporting, and we do not run servers that receive data from the app.

This policy explains what ErDock stores on your Mac, what it sends to other services and why, and how this website and purchases work.

Who we are

ErDock is made by [your full name or company name], [postal address]. For anything about this policy or your data, write to support@erdock.app.

What stays on your Mac

The following is stored only on your Mac and never sent to us:

With your permission, ErDock also reads data that macOS already keeps on your Mac, without copying it anywhere else: Calendar events and Reminders (shown in their widgets and used for meeting reminders), Contacts (to suggest recipients in Quick), files in your Downloads folder, and battery levels of your Bluetooth devices. The Ask widget uses Apple Intelligence's on-device model, so your questions and its answers stay on your Mac.

What ErDock sends to other services

Some widgets need data from the internet. ErDock contacts only the services for the widgets you turn on, and sends only what that service needs:

Like any internet request, these services also see your IP address. Each service handles data under its own privacy policy. We do not receive any of this data.

Purchases

ErDock is sold through Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record: it processes your payment, issues your invoice, handles taxes and emails your license key. Lemon Squeezy shares with us the details of your order (such as your name, email address, country and what you bought) so we can provide support and manage your license. We use them only for that, and we never sell or share them for marketing. See Lemon Squeezy's privacy policy.

This website

This website has no cookies, analytics or tracking. It is hosted by A2 Hosting, and its traffic passes through Cloudflare, which provides its DNS, security and delivery. Both may keep standard server logs, including IP addresses, to run and protect the service. Its fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google's servers when you visit.

Permissions

macOS asks for your permission the first time a feature needs it: Calendars, Reminders, Contacts, Location, Notifications, the Downloads folder, and Automation of Music, Spotify, Messages, Mail or System Events. You can change these at any time in System Settings → Privacy & Security.

Your rights

Data stored by ErDock on your Mac is under your control: you can delete it by removing ErDock and its preferences, or clear specific items in the app. For the order data we receive from Lemon Squeezy, you can ask us to access, correct or delete it, or object to its use, by writing to support@erdock.app. If you are in the European Union, you also have the right to complain to your data protection authority. We keep order data only as long as needed for support, license management and legal obligations such as tax records.

Children

ErDock is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will also be mentioned in the release notes of the update that introduces them.
